Kishtwar: An advocate allegedly shot himself dead in Kishtwar on late Monday night, triggering panic in the area.

Sources told news agency JKNS that an advocate by profession shot himself dead in Akhyarabad late this evening.

They further added that he shot himself dead by his own license weapon. Soon after the incident body of the deceased has been shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar for medico-legal formalities, they added.

He was identified as Advocate Ghulam Nabi Zargar, a resident of Akhyarabad Kishtwar, they said.

Security forces rushed to the spot soon after the incident. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the facts. (JKNS)
