Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday lodged an FIR against Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘terrorist’ and for making objectionable remarks about the workers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The complaint has been lodged at the Kotwali police station in the state capital Patna.

BJP state media in-charge Danish Iqbal, who lodged the FIR (first information report), alleged here that during an interview with a Hindi news channel, Kumar called the PM a ‘terrorist’ and also made the objectionable remarks about RSS.

He said that using derogatory remarks and calling the elected Prime Minister a terrorist in the democratic structure was shameful and was a direct attack on the sovereignty of the country.

He demanded a stern action against Kumar for trying to defame a nationalist organisation like the RSS.

The BJP leader said that Kanhaiya Kumar had a history of being associated with the ‘tukde-tukde’ gang involved in alleged anti-national activities.

The Congress leader had been repeatedly insulting the country, he charged.

Iqbal added that he had full faith that the law will take a strict action against such anti-national leaders.
