Distt-Level Coordination Committee meeting held at Shopian

Stakeholders participate to strengthen justice delivery system

Shopian: On the directions of the Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, the first Coordination Committee meeting of various stakeholders of the justice delivery system of District Shopian was held on Tuesday at the District Court Complex, Shopian.
The meeting was chaired by Principal District & Sessions Judge and Chairman Coordination Committee, Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary.
From civil and police administration, the meeting was attended by DC Shopian, Shishir Gupta; SSP Shopian, Anayat Ali; ACR Shopian, Superintendent Special Jail Pulwama, and other district/ sectoral officers and police officers.
The meeting was also attended by Sub-Judge/CJM and Secretary of the Committee, Sheikh Gowhar Hussain, and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Mudasar Farooq.
During the proceedings, various issues pertaining to the timely delivery of justice to litigants were discussed, including infrastructural challenges and institutional requirements in the district.
The Principal District & Sessions Judge emphasized the need to strengthen and streamline the coordination between the judiciary and other stakeholders for ensuring an efficient and robust justice delivery mechanism.
