DC B’pora reviews District CAPEX Budget,Directs focus on high social impact projects, timely execution

Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of District CAPEX Budget 2024-25 and preparations for the formulation of District CAPEX budget 2025-26.
During the meeting, DC reviewed sector wise financial and physical progress under District CAPEX Budget 2024-25.
The meeting was informed that out of 1594 approved works under District CAPEX, 1279 are targeted for completion during 2024-25.
He also took stock of the progress achieved under the Area Development Fund (ADF) and Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), directing the concerned departments to ensure timely and effective execution of all approved projects without any delay.
Addressing the officers, Qadri emphasized to focus on infrastructure creation under District CAPEX to create tangible assets for public welfare.
He instructed officers to prioritize projects that have high social impact and long-term benefits, while ensuring effective utilization of public funds and maintaining the quality of work.
DC directed the concerned departments to take action against contractors who violate terms and conditions of contract.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers, BDOs and other concerned.
