Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it has arrested three drug peddlers in Sopore and also recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party of Police Station Tarzoo under the supervision of SDPO Sopore at a checkpoint established at Krankshivan Colony, intercepted a vehicle (Omni) bearing registration no JK05F-5796 with suspects on boards who were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Lone S/o Ghulam Hassan Lone R/o Wagub Sopore, Waseem Ahmad Rather S/o Bashir Ahmad Rather R/o Krankshivan Sopore and Yawar Ahmad Lone S/o Abdul Majeed Lone R/o Wagub Sopore.
Stating that during search 288 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon Plus were recovered from their possession Police in its statement further said that
a case under FIR No. 47/2025 under relevant sections of Law was registered at Police Station Tarzoo besides initiating further investigation.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society, reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per the law.
