Awantipora: Police in Awantipora have arrested a drug peddler from Gadikhal area of Police Post Toll Plaza.
During vehicle checking at Gadikhal Chersoo, a Police party of Police Post Toll Plaza under the supervision of IC PP Toll Plaza apprehended a drug peddler riding a scooty, identified as Abdul Rashid Khan son of Gh Mohd Khan resident of Poshwan. During search, 2.8 Kgs of Charas Powder like substance was recovered from his possession. Scooty used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR Number 71/2025 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora and investigation has been initiated.
