Budgam: Authorities in Budgam have intensified their crackdown on illegal mining, seizing multiple vehicles engaged in unlawful extraction activities.

Acting on complaints, a team from the Geology and Mining Department, led by District Mineral Officer (DMO) Budgam, Faizal Wani, conducted a raid and seized several tippers and an LNT machine involved in illegal mining.

Speaking on the matter, DMO Faizal Wani as per news agency JKNS urged the people of Budgam to refrain from illegal sources of income and opt for legal means. “We are committed to curbing illegal mining and will continue night patrolling to ensure strict enforcement,” he stated.

Authorities have warned of stringent action against those violating mining laws, emphasizing that unlawful activities will not be tolerated. (JKNS)
