Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday attended the Rajasthan Day celebration, hosted by Jammu Kashmir Raj Bhawan at Jammu.
The Lieutenant Governor conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the people of Rajasthan, on the occasion.
“Rajasthan is known as land of warriors and it is the vibrant centre of India’s rich culture and glorious heritage. The cultural richness of Rajasthan is as diverse as its geographical features.
Rajasthan, one of the major centres of ancient civilization with its culture, art, knowledge, customs, traditions and values is contributing to the all-round development of India. In the field of architecture, music, dance and painting the state has made unparalleled contribution,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
The Lieutenant Governor paid homage to the illustrious personalities of Rajasthan and recalled their invaluable contribution in nation building.
He said the legacy of the great warriors, freedom fighters and their saga of courage, resilience, and devotion to motherland will continue to inspire the generations.
The Lieutenant Governor called upon the youth to actively participate and promote the spirit of national integration through a structured engagement between all States and Union Territories.
“Young generation must take a pledge for individual contribution to showcase the collective representation of our country,” he said.
Several captivating performances were presented by the Artists celebrating the rich folk culture of Rajasthan. Officials, students and the residents of Rajasthan living in J&K were the special invitees on the occasion.
