Handicrafts Deptt organizes Artisans’ interaction program at Ghar Bera Bhatta, Kishtwar

Kishtwar: The Department of Handicrafts and Handloom Kishtwar on Saturday organized an Artisans Interaction Program at Panchayat Ghar Bera Bhatta, Kishtwar.
The program aimed to educate artisans and weavers about various departmental schemes and encourage them to register with the department to avail benefits.
Assistant Director Pardeep Shan informed participants about the departmental schemes and the registration process. He emphasized the importance of registering with the department to access various benefits, including credit link schemes and other incentives.
The program was attended by AHTO Handicrafts Rashid Agoo, Arif, Crewel embroidery artisans Nirmala Rana and Sushma Devi, Crochet artisan. Departmental pamphlets covering all schemes were distributed among participants.
The Artisans Interaction program is a significant initiative by the Department of Handicrafts and Handloom Kishtwar to reach out to artisans and weavers in the region. The program is expected to benefit a large number of artisans and weavers in Kishtwar, enabling them to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the growth of the handicrafts and handloom sector in the region.
