DEO Jammu discusses electoral process strengthening measures with political reps

Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya, who is also the District Election Officer, on Saturday convened a meeting with representatives of political parties.
The meeting was held as per the directions of the Election Commission of India to ensure regular engagement with political parties, explain legal framework and strengthen the electoral process.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar and Deputy District Election Officer Rameshwar Kumar were also present at the meeting.
During the interaction, the queries raised by the political party representatives were addressed. Issues raised at Electoral Registration Officer level were also deliberated upon. The meeting further served as a platform to discuss feedback and other inputs from the political parties regarding the electoral process.
The DEO emphasised the administration’s commitment to conducting free, fair and transparent elections, while assuring prompt redressal of any concerns raised by the political stakeholders.
