Jammu: In response to public demand, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Dr. Devansh Yadav on Saturday visited the slaughterhouse, Dogra Hall to assess the feasibility of shifting its gate.
The visit aimed to address concerns raised by local residents and explore potential solutions for improved accessibility and urban planning.
During the visit, Dr. Yadav conducted a thorough review of the site and engaged with stakeholders to ensure that any modifications align with civic needs and regulatory guidelines. The Commissioner assured residents that their concerns would be taken into consideration while implementing necessary changes.
Dr. Yadav reviewed the development of a vendor zone at Indira Chowk, a key initiative by the Municipal Corporation to provide organized space for street vendors. This project aims to enhance urban management, streamline traffic flow, and promote local businesses in a structured manner.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation remains committed to fostering a well-planned and citizen-friendly urban environment. Further updates on both initiatives will be shared as progress continues.
Among others, Joint Commissioner, (W), Firdous Ahmad Qazi, Health Officer JMC, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Executive Engineer, Electrical, besides other senior officers of JMC accompanied the Commissioner.
