Kishtwar: The District Administration Kishtwar on Wednesday organised an Iftaar party to celebrate the spiritual bliss of the holy month of Ramadan, signifying peace, harmony and brotherhood.
The event, held here at the TRC, was hosted by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan. The Iftaar Party provided a momentous opportunity to individuals from different walks of life, including government functionaries from the District Administration, Army, Police, CRPF, Retired Officers, prominent Citizens from Civil Society, media personnel and employees from different departments, to come together and share a meal.
The Iftaar Party aimed to foster a sense of unity, camaraderie, and togetherness among the district administration and the citizens of Kishtwar in the holy month of Ramadan. The DC extended warm wishes to all present and underscored the profound significance of Ramadan in promoting peace, compassion, and goodwill within society. He highlighted the importance of such events in bringing together people of diverse backgrounds and faiths in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding. This collective moment of reflection reinforced the administration’s commitment to inclusivity, unity, and working together for the betterment of the district.
