Six Aadhaar Operators Suspended in Rajouri for Alleged Forgery

Rajouri: Authorities in Rajouri have suspended Six Aadhaar operators for their alleged involvement in forgery related to manipulation of Date of Birth (DOB) during Aadhaar updates and creation.

An official order issued by the District Statistics and Evaluation Officer (Nodal Officer for Aadhaar-Rajouri), Sandeep Kumar Sharma, following a review meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri on March 24, as per news agency JKNS stated that the suspension was based on serious violations of established guidelines and legal provisions.

The suspended Aadhaar operators are Awais Ahmed (Haq Darhal Thanamandi), Mohd Altaf (Govt High School Chingus), Amrit Anjum (ICDS Darhal H/Q Thanamandi), Karan Kumar (Child Development Project Office Kalakote), and Abdul Razaq (CDPO Kalakote). Another operator, Wazar Hussain from Teryath, has also been suspended.

The order directed immediate cessation of Aadhaar-related activities by these operators, along with the initiation of legal and departmental action. It also called for preventive measures to avoid such incidents in the future.

Tehsildars concerned have been instructed to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter and submit reports within two days. (JKNS)
