Jammu : Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya, who is also the District Election Officer, convened a meeting with representatives of various political parties here on Thursday.
The meeting was held in compliance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to take feedback for strengthening of the electoral process.
Additional District Development Commissioner Sher Singh, District Informatics Officer NIC, Sanjeev Kapoor and Deputy District Election Officer Rameshwar Kumar were also present at the meeting.
During the interaction, the queries raised by the political representatives were addressed. Issues faced at Electoral Registration Officer level were also deliberated upon. The meeting served as a platform to get feedback and other inputs from the political parties regarding the electoral process.
The DEO emphasised the administration’s commitment towards conducting free, fair and transparent elections, while assuring prompt redressal of any concerns raised by the political stakeholders.
