Food Safety Department Conducts Extensive Inspections Across Srinagar

Srinagar: The Food Safety Department in Srinagar has carried out extensive inspections to ensure compliance with food safety standards across the city.

Speaking to news agency JKNS, officials said the inspection team was led by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, Yameen Ul Nabi, along with Food Safety Officers Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and Khalid Bashir.

The team inspected various areas, including the HTMT area and wholesale establishments in Tengpora, checking hygiene conditions and collecting samples to verify quality standards.

Officials said the drive aims to ensure that consumers receive safe and hygienic food products, with all Food Business Operators (FBOs) directed to strictly comply with the Food Safety and Standards Act.

The department has warned that strict action will be taken against violators, reiterating its commitment to public health and food safety in the region. (JKNS)
