Indian Army Signs ₹197.35 Crore Deal for 500 Short Chassis Buses

New Delhi ; In a bid to enhance the transportation capability of the Indian Army, the Ministry of Defence has signed a contract worth ₹197.35 Crores with M/s Ashok Leyland Defence Systems Ltd for 500 Pre-fabricated Short Chassis Buses.

The Short Chassis Buses with reinforced structure are equipped with advanced technology and safety features, capable of operating in extreme rugged mountainous terrain. These buses will greatly enhance the operational reach of Indian Army.
