Shopian: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Shishir Gupta today visited various villages of the district to take stock of progress of MGNREGA and Capex works.
He inspected various works of rural development including construction of drainage networks,pathways,and PMAY Housing units, among others.
The DC also inspected anganwadi centres, CSCs and playfields where he inspected their working and progress during the ensuing year.
DC passed directions to RDD officers and officials to execute the RDD works in an efficient and more transparent way and emphasised on creation of durable assets in rural areas.
He also stressed for upkeep of proper sanitation and hygiene in rural areas.
Different public delegations also met him on the spot who apprised him of various issues of development and public welfare, which he listened to for redressal and appropriate action.
