Kashmir’s chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq delivered a sermon in the historic Jamia mosque, where a large gathering of worshippers had assembled.

Mirwaiz highlighted the immense significance of this blessed month, emphasizing that it provides a profound opportunity to connect with Allah.

He stressed the importance of Taqwa (piety and consciousness of Allah), stating that “by embracing it, we can transform ourselves into better individuals and collectively build a better society.”

The chief cleric urged the congregation to utilize this holy month for self-reflection, spiritual growth, and acts of righteousness.

The gathering witnessed an atmosphere of devotion and spirituality, with worshippers deeply engaged in prayers and supplication.

Congregational prayers were also held at the shrines and mosques across other districts of the valley.
