DIG SKR Ang chairs security review meeting at Railway Station Wanpoh

Srinagar: The DIG SKR Anantnag, Shri Javid Iqbal Matoo on Weddnesday chaired a security review meeting at Railway station Wanpoh Anantnag.
The meeting was attended by Cdr. Sector 1RR Khanabal Shri Prithvi raj, SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS, SSP GRP Kashmir, CO SDRF 1BN, CO 90 BN CRPF, Dy. Director F&ES Anantnag, Sr. Div security commissioner RPF Srinagar, Addl SP NHW Qazigund, DySP CID SB Anantnag, DySP CID CI Kulgam, DCIO Anantnag, BMO Anantnag and other senior officers of police, Army and CRPF.
Various aspects of railway security and coordination between all stakeholders in light of the SOPs issued by the railway headquarters and contingency plans were discussed. DIG SKR emphasized the need to review and enhance the security plans and to design effective counter insurgency strategies for railway stations, trains and passengers.
Officers present gave a detailed presentation regarding the security arrangements put in place for public safety, Law and order, readiness for anti-terrorist operation and other important issues.
DIG SKR also stressed the need to enhance the security of vulnerable targets and to ensure foolproof security arrangements and directed the officers to closely monitor vulnerable areas to prevent any attempt of miscreants. During meeting, current railway security scenario, an action plan/strategies for enhancing railway security were developed for addressing identified threats and vulnerabilities.
