Jammu : A meeting of the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, to review the performance of banks and financial institutions in the district.
During the meeting, an improvement in the Credit Deposit Ratio (CDR) over the past quarter was noted. The DC stressed the need for further enhancement of priority sector lending and directed banks to expedite the sanctioning and disbursal of loans for government-sponsored cases.
He also underlined the importance of increasing lending in the agriculture sector, ensuring adequate financial support for farmers.
Special emphasis was placed on the ‘PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana’, with directions to organise special camps for awareness and financing of beneficiaries.
