Taking a direct dig at the National Conference MLA Shamima Firdous, Lone highlighted that from 1996 to 2002 and 2008 to 2014—periods when the NC was in power—J&K witnessed large-scale killings.

He also cited the case of incarcerated separatist leader Shabir Shah, who has spent over 45 years in jail, pointing out that 30 of those years were under National Conference rule. (JKNS)
