The event organised under the guidance of Director Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu Suraj Parkash Rukwal, saw active participation from a wide spectrum of artisans, weavers, and handicraft enthusiasts.
The primary objective of this programme was to inform and educate the local artisans and weavers about the various schemes, policies, and support systems available to enhance their craft and improve their livelihoods.
During the event, experts from the department shared insights on modern techniques, marketing strategies, and the importance of preserving traditional skills. Information on financial assistance, training programs, and exposure opportunities was also provided to help artisans grow their businesses and gain recognition both nationally and internationally.
