Illicit Liquor Recovered, Lahan Destroyed, One Arrested in Jhajjar Kotli Jammu: Police

Jammu : Police in Jammu on Saturday said that Jammu Police, intensifying its drive against the illicit sale and distillation of liquor, Jhajjar Kotli Police recovered illicit liquor, destroyed Lahan, and arrested one person for the illegal distillation of desi liquor.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office, Jammu Police said that on specific information, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, led by SHO, conducted a raid in the house of Bittu Masih S/O Faqru R/O Suketer, Jhajjar Kotli and recovered two litres of liquor and 4.5 litres of Lahan, which was destroyed on the spot. A gas cylinder, chulla, and other equipment used in the distillation of liquor were also seized. The person running the illegal distillery was arrested from the spot. “In this regard, a case FIR No. 28/2025 under the relevant section of the Excise Act has been registered in PS Jhajjar Kotli, and further investigation is in progress” , reads the Police Statement
