2 drug peddlers booked under PIT NDPS Act in Sopore: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has booked two drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act in Sopore after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the two drug peddlers namely Firdous Ahmad Dar S/o Nazir Ahmad Dar R/o Mahrajpora Sopore and Firdous Ahmad Bhat S/o Ghulam Mohiudin Bhat R/o Mazbugh Sopore were booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority & subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur and District Jail Kathua.
Stating that cases against the said drug peddlers were registered for being involved in promoting drug trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Police District Sopore Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement people to make all efforts to eradicate social evils to keep society free from drug abuse.
