Border Area Youth Exchange Programme: Students from Five States Visit Tangdhar and Teetwal

Karnah: In a significant step toward fostering national integration and cultural exchange, 25 students from five different states visited Tangdhar and Tithwal under the Border Area Youth Exchange Programme, organized by Nehru Yuva Kalyan Sansthan, Kupwara. The initiative aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the region’s rich heritage, military history, and the unwavering spirit of its people.

The students explored the Azmat-e-Hind Memorial, a tribute to India’s military legacy, where they learned about the heroic sacrifices of the Armed Forces in various wars. They also visited the revered Sharda Devi Temple, an enduring symbol of cultural and spiritual heritage. The visit helped them understand the deep-rooted traditions and historical significance of Karnah, a region known for its resilience and unity.
