Srinagar District Police Srinagar has inaugurated a week-long football tournament on Saturday in Polo View, Srinagar, under the aegis of Civic Action Programme 2024-25. The event aims to promote sports and encourage youth participation in constructive activities leading to well-rounded development.
As a part of this programme, four teams comprising of football players from across the district are participating. During the inauguration, uniforms were distributed to the participating teams, emphasizing teamwork and discipline.
The opening day also featured two competitive matches, where young football players displayed their skills and enthusiasm, setting a promising tone for the tournament.
The initiative reflects the efforts of the District Police Srinagar to engage with the community and provide a platform for local talent. The tournament is expected to bring exciting matches in the coming days, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition.
