Over 2.3 Lakh Students to Appear for Class 10, 12 Exams Starting from Tomorrow Across J&K

Srinagar: As the annual Board exams of session 2025 are set to commence from tomorrow across Jammu and Kashmir, over 2.3 lakh students will be appearing for Class 10th and 12th board examinations across UT.

As per official figures available with news agency JKNS, a total of 1,32,992 Class 10th students will appear in 1,554 centers, with 1,313 in soft zones and 240 in hard zones.

Similarly, 1,02,298 Class 12th students will take their exams across 989 centers, with 873 centers in soft zones and 116 in hard zones.

The Class 10th exams will commence from February 15 in soft zone areas and from February 21 in hard zone areas. Meanwhile, the Class 12th exams will begin from February 15 in soft zones and from February 20 in hard zones.

Authorities have made necessary arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations across all designated centers.

“All arrangements have been made with concerned directed to ensure a conducive atmosphere in examination centres,” said an official.”

Edution minister yestesday on thursday chaired a meeting and directed all the Deputy Commissioners to ensure conducive environment for students in and around the examination centres. She asked them to establish all essential amenities like proper lighting, seating arrangements and heating facilities at the examination centres for facilitation of students. (JKNS)
