DC Shopian conducts surprise inspection of District Hospital

Shopian: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shishir Gupta today conducted a surprise inspection of District Hospital to assess the provision of healthcare services in the hospital.

During the visit, he inspected key facilities of the hospital including the emergency ward, Diagnostic centre, OPDs, and other wards.

DC interacted with patients & attendants and enquired about the quality of healthcare services provided in the hospital.

He directed the hospital authorities to provide efficient services and ensure the availability of essential medicines, heating, lighting, and other necessities.

He also instructed that duty rosters be prominently displayed and warned that any laxity would not be tolerated and exhorted upon the health functionaries for working with dedication and remaining punctual in their duties.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure strict enforcement of the COTPA in the hospital premises and instructes to tough action against violations.

ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, Tehsildar Shopian, Anjum Khan and others accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
