DDC Poonch inspects developmental works in villages near LoC, across the fence

Poonch : District Development Commissioner Poonch (DDC) Vikas Kundal conducted an extensive tour of the villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, assessing the progress of the developmental projects aimed at enhancing the socio-economic landscape of the region.
During the visit, DDC Vikas Kundal inspected several key locations, including the Lift Irrigation and Water Supply Schemes coming up in village Dallan, construction of Panchayat Ghar in Degar Terwan, besides working of and Government High School at Degar Terwan Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Degwar Maldiyana. He issued specific directives to expedite ongoing projects and ensure their timely completion.
At the Zero Line of the LoC near Degwar Terwan, DDC Kundal interacted with local residents, who presented various demands and projected local developmental needs in the presence of district officers from multiple departments. He directed executing officers to address these concerns promptly.
During his visit to educational institutions, DDC Kundal engaged with teachers and students. He inspected the quality of the mid-day meal and announced the construction of a boundary wall for the Government High School in Degwar Terwan to enhance safety and security.
At the Lift Irrigation Scheme in Dallan, DDC Kundal instructed officials to prepare a proposal for augmentation of the Installation to benefit local residents. He also inspected bunkers near border villages to assess their condition.
The visit underscored the administration’s commitment to addressing civic issues, expediting developmental works, and improving the overall infrastructure and living standards of local residents.
DDC Kundal also handed over the key of a house constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Grameen (PMAY-G) to owner Rasma Bi. The beneficiary expressed gratitude to the government for the initiative, which has significantly improved her living conditions.
Accompanying the DDC were ACD Poonch, CEO Education, Xen PWD, and other district and sectoral officers.
