Srinagar Police solves burglary case; three arrested, stolen cash recovered

Srinagar: Srinagar Police on wednesday solved a burglary case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of crime.

Police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, On 02/02/2025, Police Station Nishat received an information that during intervening night of 1-2/02/2025, some unknown thief/thieves broke the donation box of Mosque/Shrine at Syed Rahman Chowk Nishat and took away some cash.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 07/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Nishat and investigation initiated, it reads.

During the course of investigation, officers investigating the case, acted promptly by using intelligence input & technical evidence arrested the accused persons. They have been identified as Aamir Rafiq son of Rafiq Ahmad sheikh @Dobhi resident of Buchwara Dalgate, ⁠Mohd Sufyan Bage son of Mohd Rafiq Bage resident of Bage Mohalla Uri Baramula, A/P Gulab Mohalla Dalgate and ⁠Danish Bashir Khan son of Late Bashir Ahmad Khan resident of Buchwara Dalgate, A/P Sumo Stand Khunmoh statement reads.

The vehicle (swift car) bearing registration number JK04A-5786 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

Upon the disclosure of the accuses persons, stolen cash has also recovered from their possession, reads the statement. (JKNS)
