Ganderbal : As part of the ongoing Pan-India Rescue & Rehabilitation Campaign 2.0, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad on Tuesday chaired a meeting at the V.C room to assess and strengthen the district-level Task Force on Child Labour.
The meeting focused on reinforcing efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and prevent child labour through a coordinated multi-departmental approach.
Senior officials from key departments, including Health, Education, Social Welfare, Police, Labour, Child Protection, and Legal Services, participated in the review.
During the meeting, the ADC Ganderbal emphasized the need for proactive measures, interdepartmental collaboration, and strict enforcement of child labour laws.
Discussions revolved around strengthening rehabilitation mechanisms, increasing awareness campaigns, and ensuring effective reintegration of rescued children into mainstream education and vocational training programs.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating child labour and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
The Task Force will continue to conduct regular inspections, enhance reporting mechanisms, and take stringent action against violations to safeguard child rights.
The Pan-India Rescue & Rehabilitation Campaign 2.0 aims to intensify efforts across the country to identify and support children engaged in labour, providing them with necessary assistance for a better future.
