Bandipora: Strong windstorms and a blizzard at Razdan Pass have hampered snow clearance operations, preventing the reopening of the Gurez-Bandipora road, officials said.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, in an advisory as per news agency JKNS said, that despite continuous efforts by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the road could not be connected due to extreme weather conditions.
SDM Guraze said, “Windstorm/Blizard at Razdan pass make hindrance in sow clearance operations.Despite tireless efforts by BRO, we are unable to connect Gurez -Bandipora road today. Drivers/passengers are requested to co-operate and stay safe at home.All are requested to follow traffic advisories and confirm road status from concerned TCPs”, SDM said. (JKNS)
