Bharat Darshan Tour: Karnah Students Return After Enriching Gujarat Trip Organized by BSF.

Kupwara, Feb 3 – A team of 15 students from remote areas of Teethwal, Karnah, along with two teachers, returned today from an educational and cultural tour of Gujarat under the Bharat Darshan Tour initiative organized by 89 Bn BSF. The tour, aimed at fostering national integration and exposing students to India’s diverse heritage, was led by Sh. Anoop Shukla, Deputy Commandant, BSF.

Flagged off on Republic Day (January 26, 2025) by Sh. Ashok Yadav IPS, IG, Ftr HQ BSF Kashmir, the students explored key tourist attractions, including Ahmedabad’s historical sites, the Somnath sea beach, the iconic Statue of Unity at Kevadia, and the Gir National Park. They also participated in local sightseeing in Srinagar upon their return.

The initiative was meticulously planned and overseen by Brig MD Upadhyay (Retd), DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara, and Sh. Pradeep Kumar, Commandant 89 Bn BSF. The tour provided students a unique opportunity to experience India’s rich cultural landscape, instilling a deep sense of patriotism and self-confidence.

Parents and students expressed gratitude towards BSF for organizing this insightful journey, which broadened their perspectives and allowed them to witness the nation’s unity in diversity. The 89 Bn BSF, under its Civic Action Programme, regularly conducts such welfare initiatives for the local population.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Pradeep Kumar, Commandant 89 Bn BSF, reaffirmed BSF’s commitment to community welfare, announcing that more such Bharat Darshan Tours would be organized in the coming months to continue fostering national awareness among youth.
