Srinagar: Police seizes 04 heavy vehicles found involved in illegal mining in 02 separate FIRs, heavy fine imposed in one case in Srinagar.

In its continuous drive against illegal transportation of mining meterial, raids against the mineral mafia were carried out by PS Nowgam and seized 04 vehicles transporting illegal mining material..

Accordingly two separate FiRs includes FiR no .13/25 u/s 223 ,303(2) and FIR no. 14/25 BNS stands registered and investigation started,

Moreover, one JCB was also seized during the raid and penalized with fine to the tune of ₹ 32,214 through mining department.
Public is requested to inform police about any illegal mining coming to their knowledge.
All those unscrupulous elements involved in such illegal activity will be dealt firmly under law.
