Dr. Itoo unfurls National Flag within DSEK premises at Srinagar

More-than 6 lakh Students/Officers, community members participate in 10180 functions across Kashmir
Srinagar : Department of School Education Kashmir on Sunday celebrated 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and overwhelming participation of more-than 6 lac students/Officers & Community Members across all the districts of Kashmir Division.
Under the guidance of Directorate of School Education Kashmir, 10180 events/functions were organised in Middle, High and Higher Secondary Schools including Zonal Education offices and Chief Education offices where in 619005 students, officials, teachers, community members and officers participated to commemorate this historic occasion.
The main function of the department was organised in the premises of Directorate of School Education Kashmir, where Director School Education Kashmir, Dr.G.N.Itoo unfurled the National Flag.
On the occasion, the Director highlighted the role of every citizen in nation-building.
Dr Itoo congratulated and appreciated all the students/Teachers for their overwhelming participation and to place special emphasis for promoting unity, integrity, and social harmony within the diverse cultural fabric of Jammu and Kashmir.
DSEK also appreciated the efforts made for the main event of Kashmir Division, which was celebrated in Bakshi Stadium Srinagar where in colour full cultural programme and wonderful parade by students of different Govt. and private schools was observed with a glorious participation of more than 500 students.
Meanwhile, celebrations began across Kashmir with the unfurling of the National Flag at multiple locations, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, colourful cultural programmes with large number of participation by students, Teachers and community members.
