Bandipora: A woman died and her husband was injured after a fire broke out at Sonrwani Beacon Camp on intervening night of saturday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the fire broke out at Sonrwani Beacon Camp on the intervening night of Friday and saturday, injuring the couple.
Both were shifted to a hospital for treatment. The woman, Anjani Devi, was declared dead at Bandipora Hospital, while her husband, Parmanand, sustained serious injuries, the official said.
Firefighting efforts contained the blaze, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Legal proceedings are underway, the official added. (JKNS
