Jammu: Minister for FCS &CA, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Information Technology, Science and Technology, ARI and Trainings Satish Sharma, on Friday reviewed the functioning of Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA), entrusted with the task of designing, delivering, and managing e-governance projects in J&K.
Present in the meeting were Chief Executive Officer JaKeGA, Director Finance JaKeGA and technical staff of JaKeGA.
The CEO apprised the Minister of physical and financial achievements besides future projects of the agency through a PowerPoint Presentation.
He informed that JaKeGA is a nodal agency for implementation of IT, ITES and E- governance projects. The prime objective of JaKeGA is to design, deliver and administer the e-governance projects by providing necessary administrative, financial, legal and technical support, he added. He also apprised the Minister regarding upcoming projects like Swan 2.O automation of hospitals, LAN setup for Civil Secretariat and Assembly complexes at Jammu and Srinagar, digital signage solutions and unified portal dashboards.
After detailed review, the Minister appreciated the efforts of CEO JaKeGA for bringing IT revolution in J&K by implementing digitisation project, state wide area network and digital village sites.
The Minister emphasised upon the agency to be prepared for IT revolution at war- footing level. He asked the CEO to expedite establishment of e-services centres through suitable Public Private Partnership to ensure that the public gets the desired information and e- services at their doorsteps.
