Bandipora ::The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Tuesday chaired a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat to assess the progress of works under the District CAPEX 2024-25.The meeting was informed that as of December 2024, a total of Rs.16184.65 lakhs have been released out of the approved budgetary outlay of Rs. 32073.42 lakhs, with 66 percent of the allocated expenditure already utilized.
It was given out that, District CAPEX Budget for 2024-25 has been set at Rs. 6800.64 lakhs, focusing on 16 key sectors including the improvement of rural infrastructure, upgrading electrification networks, enhancing drinking water facilities, and augmenting infrastructure in educational institutions, among other essential public welfare works.
Reviewing the sector-wise and work-wise progress, the DDC emphasized the need for accelerating the pace of ongoing works to ensure their timely completion. He further directed all concerned executing agencies to meet both physical and financial targets for all approved projects within the stipulated timelines.
Qadri, stressed the importance of these developmental works in improving the quality of life of the general public and pointed out that infrastructure improvements, particularly in rural areas, are essential for overall growth and economic prosperity.
He highlighted the role of the executing agencies in ensuring accountability and timely completion of works and urged all stakeholders to collaborate effectively ensuring that the works are completed on time besides maintaining the quality of works.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt; ACD, CPO Executive Engineers of various Departments, and other concerned.
