Kupwara: As a tribute to the selfless service, patriotism and valour of the Veterans of Kupwara District, Veterans Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Trehgam under the aegis of  the Hajipir Brigade.

The event was graced by a large number of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Veer Naris, who were honoured in the true spirit of the Indian Army. The event recognised their immense contribution in nation building as a fundamental block of civil society.

Several Veer Naris were felicitated and the event saw healthy interaction of the Ex Servicemen with representatives of notable agencies like Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Defence Pension Disbursement Office and JAK LI Regt Records; who were present for grievance redressal and guidance on policies and schemes which are beneficial for our ESM. The event provided a ‘One Stop Resolution Forum’ to any issues being faced by them and reinstated the astute commitment of the Indian Army towards care , welfare and honour of our  esteeemed ESM fraternity.
