Four injured in Gagangeer, Sonamarg accident, two referred to SKIMS Sgr

Gandarbal: Four people were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident near Gagangeer, Sonamarg area of Central Kashmir’s Gandarbal, officials said.

An official told the news agency JKNS that a road accident occurred near the Forest Checkpost at Gagangeer when an Alto vehicle bearing registration No. JK16C-3386 skidded off the road and collided with side stones.

He said the accident left four passengers injured, who were immediately taken to the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Kullan for treatment, from where two were later shifted to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.

He identified them as Momin Ahmed Magray and Irfan Ahmad Thakrey, who were referred to SKIMS, and the remaining injured, Sameer Ahmed Shargojri and Sahil Ahmad Magray, were treated at the local PHC. All are residents of Cherwan, Kangan.

Police have taken up cognizance.—(JKNS)
