This connectivity will benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially trade and tourism. We face challenges with air travel in winters, with tickets costing as much as Rs 25,000. Rail connectivity will ease this burden, facilitate cargo transfer, and help industries.

Omar added that, “I assure the people of Jammu that this will not cause any loss but instead bring economic benefits.” (JKNS)
