Three boys found dead in Bhaderwah guest house, SIT to probe cause

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police have framed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the death of three boys found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bhaderwah area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police here on Thursday said sensing the gravity of the situation, a Special Investigation Team has been constituted by Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Sandeep Mehta with Additional SP Bhaderwah as Incharge SIT and other professional police officers to ascertain the actual cause of death and to rule out any foul play.

On the request of the district police, a medical board has been constituted to conduct post mortem of the deceased, said police.

Sharing details, police said that on Wednesday, on the receipt of the information from reliable sources, it was learnt that three persons namely Ashutosh Rana, resident of Bhella, district Doda, presently staying in Purkhoo, Jammu, Mukesh Singh, resident of Domana, Jammu and Sunny Choudhary, resident of Bhawani, Teh Nowshera, at present Purkhoo, Jammu, who were staying in the Royal Inn Guest House, Bhaderwah, are not responding to the continuous knock by the hotel staff and to the calls of their family members.

“Police party reached on the spot and broke open the door of the room of the guest house and found all of them lying unconscious in the room,” said police.

They said that the FSL team and medical team of Sub-District Hospital, Bhaderwah was called upon immediately and were declared dead by the medical team.

Police and FSL team minutely examined the spot in the presence of SSP Doda and other Police officers and EMIC Bhaderwah who were also camping on the spot.

A case under relevant sections has been registered and investigation started.
