All top priority roads, around 2000 lanes cleared: SMC Commissioner

Srinagar: After heavy snowfall in Srinagar, all top priority roads and snow from around 2000 lanes have been cleared, commissioner Srinagar municipal copoeration said.

SMC Commissioner Owais Ahmad while talking to Reporters as per news agency JKNS after visiting Lal chowk to monitor post snowfall situation said, Manpower being deployed on roads since last night, our snow clearance Machine worker night long and cleaned priority roads like hospitals, and main connecting links.

He said, since morning our more than 40 machines distributed in different wards are working continuously and manual clearance are also going. “ The clennace of internal colony are being made and more than two thousand lanes within Colony are being cleaned with help of manpower and with machines as well.

“Since early morning, 5 Am our ground Staff in on field and our men are fully equipped and there is no need to worry,” he said adding our priority remains in phases with one, two and three with one already cleared and work on more going on. (JKNS)
