Srinagar:- At least five residential structures were gutted in a fire incident in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sources told news agency JKNS that five residential structures were damaged in a fire incident in Chokibal area of the district.

Locals said that Indian Army was the first agency to reach the spot as soon as fire engulfed a residential structure.

They said that the army along with locals rescued the civilians from the area and made every effort to control the fire.

They thanked the Army for their timely response that helped to save several lives.

They have also demanded compensation for the affected family at an earliest.—(JKNS)
