Srinagar: Security forces on Thursday said they have killed five terrorists during an ongoing operation in the Kader area of Kulgam district.

They said the killed terrorists are likely to be affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), and the details will be shared once the operation concludes.

Speaking with the media, DIG South Kashmir Javid Iqbal as per the details available JKNS said in the exchange of fire, five terrorists were killed and two soldiers sustained injuries.

“The injured soldiers were promptly evacuated to a medical facility for treatment, and their condition are stable,” he said.

He said the operation is still underway, and the details will be shared once it concludes. He added that the killed terrorists probably belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and that the bodies of the killed terrorists are being retrieved.

Meanwhile, the Army’s Chinar Corps also wrote on X: Update: OP KADER, Kulgam. Five terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing operation in Kader, Kulgam. During the firefight, two soldiers have suffered injuries and have been evacuated for medical care. Operation is in progress. #Kashmir. @adgpi. @NorthernComd_IA—(JKNS)
