Srinagar: The Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed chaired a comprehensive review meeting on Friday to evaluate the progress of ongoing projects under the Works Division.
The review focused on assessing the status of various projects, addressing challenges, and devising future strategies.
Dr. Owais emphasized the importance of completing projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards. He also urged officials to enhance coordination and communication to meet the community’s needs and expectations effectively.
Key projects discussed during the meeting included road repairs, infrastructure improvements and the enhancement of public facilities. The Commissioner highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in all operations and directed officials to provide regular updates on their progress.
Dr. Owais reiterated that timely and efficient execution of projects is essential for better service delivery, ensuring that the community benefits from improved infrastructure and services.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner Works, Financial Advisor/Chief Accounts Officer, Chief Engineer SSCL, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Accounts Officers, and other senior SMC officials.
