Srinagar: Gulmarg, the world-famous ski resort and tourist hotspot of the Kashmir Valley, has turned into a magical winter wonderland as fresh snowfall blanketed its iconic slopes on Sunday.

The beautiful landscape, with its snow-covered peaks and white blanket of snow, now looks straight out of a fairy tale, inviting adventure seekers and nature lovers alike to experience the charm of Kashmir’s winter paradise.

Details obtained by the news agency JKNS said the winter wonderland of Kashmir, the world-famous ski resort turned into a fairy tale of Narnia as snowfall extended to other higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley, including Gurez, Karnah, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam, with temperatures dipping significantly across the region.

The details said as the snowfall started, snow lovers and tourists from different parts of India and outside the country started flocking to the valley. Similarly, they expressed joy and happiness, saying this is like stepping into a dream.

“The beauty of Gulmarg in winter is unmatched, and the snow makes it feel truly magical,” said Ramesh Sharma, a tourist from Delhi.

Another tourist from Gujarat, who has seen the snowfall for the first time, said it is like seeing heaven in reality. “I have only heard about snowfall, and for the first time, I am seeing the snowfall. It’s an amazing feeling.”

Notably, the transformation of Gulmarg into a fairy tale-like Narnia marks the perfect time for skiers and visitors to immerse themselves in the dreamlike beauty of the valley.—(JKNS)
