Police-BSF conduct joint patrolling in patrol boats along Indo-Pak Border

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the Border Security Force on Thursday conducted a joint patrol in patrol boats in the river Chenab dividing Indo-Pakistan Border in the Akhnoor-Pargwal area here.

The J&K Police officers comprising Deputy Inspector General, Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, SP Rural Brijesh Kumar along with BSF officers conducted a joint patrolling on the Indo-Pak Border boundary divided by River Chenab in the Pargwal area, said an official.

He said that the security and border management grid of various villages along the Chicken Neck Border in Gardkhal, Malabella, Sohan, Kanhachak, was reviewed during the patrol.

He said that the officers also met with local people for better police-public coordination and timely information sharing with the Police.

The water bodies including streams, rivers, and canals were also checked during the patrol, he added.
