Srinagar: Police in Kulgam along with geology and mining department have seized 05 vehicles & arrested 06 persons.

The joint teams of Police alongwith Geology and Minig Department have seized 05 vehicles (02 Tractors, 02 Tippers and 01 JCB) involved in illegal extraction & transportation of minerals from river Vaishow and other Nallahs.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Qazigund and PS Kulgam and further investigation have been initiated.

People are requested to come forward or Dial-112 regarding any information about illegal extraction of minerals. Police warns stringent action as per law against those whosoever found involved in such activities.
