Srinagar: Kashmir University Vice Chancellor Nilofer Khan claimed that her cavalcade came under attack on Srinagar outskirts on Tuesday evening.
She said the attack took place at Zakura around 7 pm while she was heading home along with her escort.
“A bullet was fired, which hit my escort vehicle, and my security team responded to the incident and retaliated. Thankfully, I was unharmed,” she told UNI.

The police, however, contested this account, with a senior officer stating there was no attack on the VC.
“No attack took place on the VC,” said a police officer. UNI
